1. history
and i don’t even think there is a need for 2, 3, 4 and 5. understanding historic costume especially that of ancient civilizations really has shaped my style. ever since fashion was established in the medieval period we have just been re-creating the past. i love it, but always roll my eyes when someone claims “they did it first”. PSHHH PLEASE
